About Us

Heartbeat Bikes is a community bike shop. We sell refurbished bikes and offer repairs of all kinds. We have an assortment of different bike sizes available for sale, from children’s bikes to adult bikes.

Heartbeat Bikes is part of Youth Unlimited’s Toronto Chapter (https://www.yugta.ca). We are a registered charity and social enterprise that believes in helping young adults achieve independence as they seek to navigate the challenges that they face as they move into adulthood.

We are  a transition-focused employment program that helps assist the youth working with us as they overcome employment barriers through intentional life skills development, on-the-job training, and paid employment at the bike shop. We also work with high school students to help them achieve their needed volunteer hours while they also learn bike repair skills. Our goal at the bike shop is to help the youth find a permanent, meaningful job at wages that not only allow them to sustain themselves but also give them a chance to advance in their new career path once they leave us.

Want to help?

Your donations help us to keep the ministry running smoothly by enabling us to purchase parts, tools, and provides the young men who work with us an opportunity to develop the skills needed to succeed in life.

Donations will be received through Stepping Stones, our overall ministry title.
